One World Social Event - 14th April 2018

Members of our Church family and their friends joined us for a special evening of Food, Music and Dance from around the world of our inter-cultural Church Family.

Burns Night Supper   - Saturday 20th January 18

Members and friends from some ten nations came together to celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns and to share food an fellowship together. The fold duo Davaar, Colin Livingstone and Paul Gallacher entertained us and our own Dr Don Drennan gave us in his own inimitable style,'the History of the Haggis' and its place in social history.

St Andrew's welcomes strangers

Minister John spoke about ‘Walking the Way’ and asked how we should welcome those such as me, Paddington Bear? What Me? A stranger, a foreigner, and a refugee, and some with strange eating habits!

I did have a great seat, but later escaped with Junior Church and had a great time.

It’s been a busy time in St Andrew’s visited groups, went Scottish Dancing, met the Reading Scottish Pipe band, lots of noise, nice noise.. they say.

They even tried to get some blood out of me, but I still got tea and biscuits.

Now I am off visit other people, other churches, hope they have some sandwiches for  me, may be Marmalade or something equally nice.

The Elders have arranged a meeting especially for me, I think, don’t suppose I could put in an apology and go Scottish Dancing again.

One World Social Event - 11 May 19

Our Inter-cultural church will again share FOOD - MUSIC and DANCE from just some of the nations of our Church family.

This time it was in aid of our New Kitchen Fund and here are some photographs from the event
